Print’N Seal Systems use an INKJET and LAMINATION process
It’s
not sublimation. It’s not screen printing. But it is full color, easy
to use, and very cost-effective for awards, gifts and short run promotional
products designed to produce high quality
full color images on wood, acrylic,
glass, marble, plastic and metal.
Users are able to print: full color award
plaques of metal, acrylic or glass; signs, clock faces; name badges;
legend plates; mouse pads; four color kids trophies; paperweights; ornaments;
key tags and more.
There are four simple steps to print and
seal any image:
- Print full color. After laying out your graphics on your
computer, the image is sent to a standard inkjet printer using standard
ink. The printer is loaded with Print’N Seal special permanent adhesive-backed
film (available in both clear and white).
- Overlaminate. The original printed film is put
through an overlaminator to apply a layer of clear film over the
printed ink to seal the image and also provide ultraviolet protection.
This overlaminate material is available in five different finishes
to give a different look to the finished product. These finishes
are: clear gloss and clear matte vinyl (great for metal plates);
special UV scratch resistant Etched look vinyl (great for acrylic,
glass, indoor signs, name badges, mouse pads etc.); and crystal
clear gloss scratch resistant polyester.
- Squeegee: Next, a lubricant (wetting agent) is sprayed
on the substrate (metal, glass, wood, plastic etc.) and the backing
paper is removed from the permanent adhesive. The adhesive is also
sprayed with the wetting agent and then positioned on the substrate
and squeegee to remove any air bubbles. It is then allowed to dry.
- Trim Finished Product: After drying the substrate is
then trimmed with a razor knife or metal shear (must dry overnight)
as needed. You now have the finished product in full color.
Key Features:
- It uses standard ink. No special ink is required. Just
the standard ink. This keeps costs low.
- It needs no color correction. Thus, users get the same
quality every time.
- It is easy to use. With a simple four step process, there
is no long training curve. A training video is shipped with every
system
- It uses a standard printer and ink. The printer is not
dedicated to this one job, it can be used for other printing tasks.
- It uses a range of inkjet printers. Works with most inkjet
printers and will always keep up with technology.
- It is cost-effective.
- Low start-up cost. .
The quality of the image (1440 x 720 DPI) and the profit potential
make this an attractive investment for personalization businesses. Plus
it’s quick, clean and quiet. Also very cool (no heat press).
